It's Impossible!

A series of online seminars on the logic of impossibility

We are very pleased to announce a new series of online seminars related to Calculators Project that will take place from January to June 2021. The seminars will be dedicated to the logic and epistemology of impossibility, from a historical and contemporary perspective and will have a great line up of international speakers: Timothy Williamson, Amie Thomasson, Graham Priest, Francesco Berto, Mikko Yrjönsuuri and Sara Uckelman.

You may find a comprehensive calendar of the meetings at the bottom of this email. The first speaker is Timothy Williamson (Oxford University), who will talk about “Worlds and meaning”, based on the 15th chapter of his last book “Suppose and Tell”. The seminar will take place on Monday, January 25th, from 3 to 4.30 pm (GMT+1).

At this first meeting, the discussion will be moderated by Vittorio Morato (Università di Padova).

All seminars will take place on Microsoft Teams, hosted by the University of Parma. Guests are invited to connect at 2.50 pm, as to ensure the start of the seminar at 3 pm.
